I would like to request that the new article detailing my expulsion from the cast be removed. I was perfectly willing to tolerate the expulsion being mentioned and detailed within my own article and even elaborated on it myself several times, but this is an unnecessarily harsh step. However you may feel about me or my own personal character I will agree is justified, and the days of needless apologies and excuses are long gone. And, indeed, there are no factual inaccuracies in what is said, and I don't intend to make any changes myself. However, I believe it to be an unfair representation of my character, and that it will inevitably (and unfairly) cause anyone who views it to have a skewed perception of who I am even in the present, which can have reprecussions far beyond former high school friendships and collaborators. Perhaps you believe that fair and perhaps even warranted, and if that's truly the case, then leave it be. But I ask from a personal, and admittedly selfish point, that it be taken down. I do not believe it fair to say that such an incident is so representative of who I am that it be documented and displayed for the world to see. That's all I'll say on that matter.
Long time no see! It's been ages since we've spoken- how've you been? Made much progress in terms of your films? I never kept up with your work too closely, but as someone intending to go into the industry myself I'm curious to see how it's working out for you.
To be honest, though, the real reason I hunted you down was the CHFW. Recently, a few of us chaps from CBW have returned to start editing again with vague regularity, and just today a new member actually joined and made a few articles! I'm honestly super excited, and I'm hoping to push forward with this momentum to establish the CHFW and get it going again.
I have absolutely no idea what your feelings are towards the wiki at this point, but I figured I'd reconnect and see what we could work out. Mainly, I was wondering if you would be willing to, at the very least, hop back on and give me B'crat permissions so I could fully take over the effort to get it going again. Of course, you're always welcome to rejoin us if you so wish, but if you don't having the rank would make it easy for me to manage things without bugging you to "promote this bloke" or "demote that inactive fellow" and the like. It's ultimately your call.
Anyways, I'm super excited at this prospect and look forward to seeing what'll come of it. Maybe we'll just fizzle out again but maybe, just maybe we can pull it off. At the very least it'll be a fun little nostalgia trip for all of us.
If I could add to the words Delta has already said above, for about the past month or so he, I, and a few others have had renewed interest in the Hero Factory line. As the site leader of CBW, I'm wanting to bring CHFW back as the official sister-wiki. While there may have been a falling out between CBW and CHFW under the previous administration and with constraction no longer a relevant line, I think Delta and I are both wanting to restore the old CHFW to its original glory and fill in the divide between the two fandoms. Together, we can defeat the Fire Nation restore the balance.
So, if we're talking about switching up administrative roles, I'd like to also throw my name into the running, since I have served on the CHFW admin team before, have the necessary experience, and would like to work alongside Delta in bringing back the wiki from the brink of inactivity. No ego, no drama. I just really want to make a real and lasting change and to do my part to really consolidate a hemorrhaging community alongside my boy, Delta.
We've drawn up a couple of key changes to templates together and I dare say things are looking hopeful. I just wanted to throw some of this out there to let you know that the both of us will be working hard to restore the wiki in the meantime.
Hey! Great to hear from you guys, and thanks for contacting me! I've been very busy as of late, working on various films while also preparing to go off to college. And Bob, congratulations on becoming CBW's leader! I'm curious, how long have you been in the role? I haven't been around there so I was unaware you got that position. Still, that's awesome!
It's been almost seven years since I joined CHFW. Needless to say, a lot of time has passed. Hero Factory has come and gone, as have most of the users on the website. I'm really surprised that some activity has started up on there again, and I hope it'll last. It could "fizzle out", as Delta put it, but I'll keep my hopes up that it doesn't.
After several years of leading the wiki, I ultimately reached the point where I didn't have the time to run it, and my interest in it also ran out. To hear that you're both interested in running the wiki makes me extremely happy. I spent a good amount of time trying to spruce up the website, and it was a bit upsetting to see it go inactive. Knowing that I couldn't do anything to turn that around, I pretty much had to abandon it. If your goal is to "resurrect" it, then I will definitely give you the powers needed to do so. Just to confirm, are you both looking to be bureaucrats? I know Delta is, but I want to confirm with Bob. Let me know and I will promote you both.
You guys sound really confident about this project and I wish you the best of luck. If there's anything I can do to help, feel free to message me. I'm still active on my wiki, the Ninjago Wiki, and my YouTube channel. Again, thanks for contacting me and I'm ready to assist you in any way I can. Make the most with what you have!
I sincerely hope the filming projects are going well! Just finished my degree in Film/Literature myself. I'm glad you can pursue your passion!
Well, I joined the CBW admin team way back in mid-2014, some time after I left CHFW owing to a personal crisis and a loss of interest in HF. By the end of 2015 I'd been instated as a bureaucrat and am now pretty much the de-facto site leader.
I'd definitely be interested in effecting some real change on CHFW, ideally as a bureaucrat since I feel there should always be two on a wiki in case of emergency. I feel compelled to direct you towards Delta's CHFW blog. I've written soem more in-depth thoughts on the matter in the comments below.
Hey Scott, since it's been a few months, how are things going with the next Ninjago film? Just wondering 'cause I can't wait to be a part of it! Hope everything's going well.
BTW have you read my 'new' story on the CBW, Red Star? I'd really like some feedback on it if it isn't too much to ask or takes too much of your time, just curious what you think of it. Anyways, good luck with your projects! Can't wait!
Hey Davy, production is going great! I've been rewriting large portions of the script which has been taking some time, but otherwise the film is looking awesome. I'll let you know when the script is done.
If I have the chance I'll definitely check out "Red Star". Thanks Davy!
I'm still prepared to send you the redone lines from last summer. I've been trying to send them to you for months now but that stupid microsoft windows of mine...let me tell ya...
Anyways, I'll try to get the lines to you today or tomorrow. I feel like this is necessary after rewatching the first two parts of ROTGD. I feel like I didn't do a great job with them and the redone lines sound a lot better. That's why I feel the need to send them to you.
I hope everything goes well after those disastrous issues you had last month.
Hey Davy - honestly, I think your lines are great. I believe I sent you a message about them a few months ago - there's an ability I have in iMovie where I can reduce the background audio of a clip and enhance your voice (not the same way I modified the lines in Part 1, and I'm also not sure if this feature will be available in Final Cut Pro). But I'm happy to hear you've redone the lines. As you probably know, right now I'm not really editing anything major. I have a few small videos that'll be coming out throughout this month, with one of them coming out tonight, and I probably won't pick up with editing ROTGD again until January. Everything is really hectic for me right now in more ways than one.
I've redone the lines but there appears to be an error when I try to send them to you. Do you have another email to which I can send them? (BTW, my video editing program has crashed so I'm not able to put the lines in a YouTube video)
There still seems to be a problem when I try to send them to you. I'm away this Monday and Tuesday, so I'll probably try to send them again (hopefully I can make a video again) this Wednesday. I hope that's okay.
No problem FireStar. Right now, I'm working on editing the second part of Jurassic Shark III, so I'm taking a break on Ninjago (I'm not even filming it right now because it's so hot outside). You've still got some time - keep me posted. Take care!
Hey Starscream, (It's carpenter studios I have a huge problem with name changes but I can't change it anymore so this is my final official one) I was really impressed with Jurassic Shark III. It had great little nods to the previous films and seeing the first shark from the first film was really neat. It had a nice final end and resolution for Chase Landon. Jurassic Shark III is your best film yet (In my opinion) and it really makes me want more and looking foward to the future parts. I give Jurassic Shark III a 8.9/10.
If you are able to chat on the wiki whether it be tonight or some time this week please let me know I have much to tell you. Thanks!
Thank you so much Charles! I'm really glad you enjoyed it. :D
We can try and aim for tomorrow night, at around 8:15. Within the next week, I will become extremely busy with editing both Ninjago: Rise of the Great Devourer and Jurassic Shark III, so it would be best for us to meet sooner than later. :)
Hey Davy, the script's finished, now all I have to do is organize the lines. It's taking a bit longer than I thought it would. Sorry for the wait! Hopefully, everyone will get them within the next couple of days.
