Bread's Crumbs 3: Scrub Slam

The Unnamed Third Bread's Crumbs Sequel, also tentatively known as Bread's Crumbs 4, is an upcoming project, set to serve as the fourth major installment in the Bread's Crumbs Cinematic Universe. The film will be the third sequel to Bread's Crumbs and will follow the third installment, Bread's Crumbs 3: Scrub Slam, and its sole interquel, The Two Man Trio. Though Scrub Slam was originally planned to conclude the series, the fourth film will instead serve as the finale. As of now, no details have been revealed about the plot; the majority of the cast from the previous films will return. Filming began in May 2017, and as of June 7 is nearly complete.

The film will star returning cast members Gabe Sagherian, Austin Brinser and Chris Lombardo, while Michael Behrenshauser will play its main antagonist, The Paleman, who briefly appeared in the second film two years earlier. Zion Figueroa, Dan Brusilovsky, Alex Fanelli and many others will return for the film; Michael Robinson and Russell Parkinson return to the series after being absent from the third film. This will be the first Bread's Crumbs film without the series' creator Ryan Bowman, who has also played one of its main protagonists, Captain Jumpa. The film is set to serve as the last major LordStarscream100 project for much of the film's cast, and is due for release in June 2017.

Cast

The Clan

  • Gabe Sagherian as John Bacchus, one of the founding members of The Clan who went rogue in the third film.
  • Austin Brinser as Flynt Coal, a loyal, high-ranking member of The Clan and a close ally to Vin Diesel.
  • Chris Lombardo as Vin Diesel, one of the founding members of The Clan and a close ally to Flynt.
  • Alex Fanelli as Kick, a citizen of Portugal who joined The Clan prior to the third film.
  • Dan Brusilovsky as Rasputin, a deceptive Russian who served as a neutral character and antihero in the third film. Rasputin has since become a member of The Clan, though he's still getting used to it.
  • Zion Figueroa as Lord Tyresius, the ancient guardian of The Crumbs who joined The Clan in the second film.
  • Ross Lovell as Reginald Wellington, a fanciful member of The Clan who joined the group sometime before the second film.
  • Michael Robinson as Sandy Sandler, Bacchus' best friend and a member of The Clan, who received a premonition prior to the second film. Sandy returns in a bigger role after having been largely absent from the third installment.
  • Sean Larkin as Big Beard, a guardian of The Crumbs alongside Tyresius, who joined The Clan in the second film.
  • Russell Parkinson as Colonel Crunch, a loyal member of The Clan who appeared in the first and second films. Crunch returns after having been absent from the third installment.
  • Eric Gorbaty as Corporal Crunch, the genetic clone of Corporal Crunch who appeared in the first and second films. Corporal returns after having been largely absent from the third installment.

U.B.N.V.A./Villains

  • Michael Behrenshauser as The Paleman, a member of the U.B.N.V.A. who serves as the film's main antagonist. He previously had a cameo in the second film.
  • Dan Brusilovsky will portray one of the film's new main antagonists, with Rob O'Dwyer providing the character's voice. Details on the character are currently undisclosed. Ryan Grier has served as a body double for the character in Dan's absence.
  • Jacob Lutz as Axel Gunner, the military director of the U.B.N.V.A. who seeks to destroy The Clan. He was introduced in the series' last interquel, The Two Man Trio

Other Characters

  • Brandon Archibald as Biscuit Savage, the main villain of the second film and a former U.B.N.V.A. member who has become an honorary member of The Clan.
  • Ryan Grier as Banny Passerini, the son of Biscuit Savage and a former U.B.N.V.A. member who debuted in the third film. Along with his father, he is an honorary member of The Clan.
  • Dakota Markle as Bjorn Alvarez, a bounty hunter who allied with John Bacchus prior to the third film. He has since become an honorary member of The Clan.
  • Alex Lombardo as Quinn Diesel, a new character who is the son of Vin Diesel. Details on his role have yet to be revealed.

Ryan Bowman and David M who played Captain Jumpa and Bread Nelson in the first three installments, will not return for this film. However, it is likely he'll appear in pictures. The same goes for Mitchell Patterson, who played Nazi Mitch in the second and third films.

Production

Original Plans

After the release of Bread's Crumbs in June 2014, discussions began about making three sequels, with each set to be made at the end of each high school year. During the early production of the second film, the idea of a fourth film was ultimately scrapped, as the cast figured they wouldn't have time for a fourth film towards the end of their senior year. As such, a trilogy was planned instead. The second film, Electric Boogaloo, was filmed and released in June 2015, and the third and final film, Scrub Slam, was filmed in May and June 2016 and released in June.

Once the third installment was released, LordStarscream100, as well as several cast members, felt that there were parts of the story left unfinished - such as the fate of the Clan. Discussions passed back and forth for the next couple of months on whether or not Scrub Slam provided a satisfying conclusion to the series. In September 2016, Michael Behrenshauser, who had a cameo in Bread's Crumbs 2: Electric Boogaloo as a villain named The Paleman, expressed interest in having a role in the fourth film should it be made. Michael was set to appear in Bread's Crumbs 3 during the opening fight in the U.B.N.V.A. headquarters, but scheduling conflicts prevented him from participating in the production.

Official Announcement

On December 31, 2016, LordStarscream100 made an official announcement stating that a fourth and final Bread's Crumbs film is a large possibility, and mentioned the possibility of Michael Behrenshauser playing its main antagonist. During this time, early planning began on the film in terms of developing its story. On February 19, Ryan Bowman's involvement with LordStarscream100's films was suspended. Ryan was the creator of the Bread's Crumbs Series, and he also played Captain Jumpa, one of the series' main protagonists, having appeared in six of the series' ten installments. On February 26, LordStarscream100 officially confirmed that the film is in the works, and that Ryan is not expected to reprise his role due to his suspension. On March 14, LordStarscream100 confirmed that the film will star returning cast members Gabe Sagherian, Austin Brinser, Chris Lombardo and Alex Fanelli, and it will introduce Michael Behrenshauser as its main antagonist, The Paleman. He also confirmed that Ryan Grier, Ross Lovell and Zion Figueroa will return for the film.

On March 17, LordStarscream100 confirmed that Michael Robinson, who played Sandy Sandler in The Biggest Fish of Them All and Bread's Crumbs 2, has joined the film's cast. Michael had a brief and almost unnoticeable cameo in the third film, while his role in this installment is set to be larger. On March 21, Dan Brusilovsky was confirmed to be returning as Rasputin, a major "antihero" introduced in the second film. On March 24, Russell Parkinson was confirmed to be reprising his role as Colonel Crunch, providing that he's available for filming. Russell agreed to be in the film, but it is possible that scheduling conflicts will ultimately prevent him from appearing. His role in the second film was heavily cut, while his role in the third film was cut completely - both caused by conflicts with the filming schedule.

On March 27, Sean Larkin was confirmed to be reprising his role as Big Beard, a supporting character in the second and third films. On April 7, Vishnu Rammohan, Eric Gorbaty, Brandon Archibald and Dakota Markle were all added to the film's rumored cast. Vishnu previously played Mahatma, a character from the second film. In the third film, Jumpa claimed that Bacchus killed Mahatma, although the truthfulness of this is currently unknown. On April 12, Dakota Markle was confirmed to be returning as Bjorn Alvarez, having been informed of his role the previous day. On April 20, Eric Gorbaty was confirmed to be returning as Corporal Crunch. On April 28, Alex Lombardo, the brother of Chris Lombardo, was cast in the film. Alex is set to make his debut as Quinn Diesel, the son of Vin Diesel. This will be Alex's first acting role in LordStarscream100's films. The same day, Sean Fanelli, the brother of Alex Fanelli, expressed interest in making a cameo. He has yet to be confirmed for the film.

On May 3, Jacob Lutz was rumored to be reprising the role of Axel Gunner, the main villain of The Two Man Trio, the last Bread's Crumbs interquel. On May 4, it was confirmed that filming is set to begin on May 16, 2017. The same day, LordStarscream100 ordered various props for the film, as well as an extra battery for his camera. On May 8, Jacob Lutz was officially added to the film's cast. The same day, Jacob Doerr was removed from the film's rumored cast, with LordStarscream100 confirming he will not appear as Justin Bartisto. On May 9, Brandon Archibald was confirmed to be reprising his role as Biscuit Savage, the main villain of the second film who became a protagonist in the third film. The same day, several props for the film arrived. On May 10, Mitchell Patterson was rumored to be reprising his role as Nazi Mitch. Though Mitch died in the third film, it's possible he'll appear in a flashback scene of some sort. On May 12, Bailey Gonzaga was confirmed to be debuting as an antagonist in the film, with Bread's Crumbs 4 set to serve as his acting debut. The same day, Vishnu Rammohan was confirmed to be returning as Mahatma, and Rob O'Dwyer, a voice actor who will appear in Ninjago: Age of the Golden Master, was cast as a voice actor in the film. On May 15, Ryan Grier was confirmed to be playing one of the film's new main antagonists, with Rob O'Dwyer set to voice the character.

Filming

The film has followed a production schedule similar to that of the third film, where filming took place during the Keystone exams and several weeks later during final exams. However, the final exam filming schedule will be impacted by graduation rehearsals for the film's cast - an obstacle Brandon Archibald faced while filming the second movie, which proved slightly problematic as he played the film's main villain. Fortunately, since seniors get out of school the week before finals, the cast will have several extra days to film the project.

Filming officially began on May 16, 2017, although it was limited due to the absence of Michael Behrenshauser and the lack of a major prop that wasn't completed before filming. Gabe Sagherian, Austin Brinser, Chris Lombardo, Alex Fanelli, Dan Brusilovsky, Zion Figueroa, Sean Larkin, Michael Robinson and Ross Lovell all participated in filming. Bailey Gonzaga and Ryan Grier were also present for filming, but due to the scenes being shot, they weren't actually filmed. Filming continued on May 17, but due to the lack of the major prop, fewer scenes were filmed. Gabe Sagherian, Austin Brinser, Chris Lombardo, Alex Fanelli, Dan Brusilovsky, Sean Larkin, Ross Lovell and Michael Behrenshauser all participated in filming. Filming also took place on May 18, with Gabe Sagherian, Austin Brinser, Chris Lombardo, Alex Fanelli, Dan Brusilovsky, Sean Larkin, Zion Figueroa, Ross Lovell, Michael Behrenshauser and Ryan Grier all present for the shoot. On May 19, it was confirmed that Vishnu Rammohan would ultimately not reprise his role as Mahatma in the film, citing a lack of interest which contributed to his decision.

Filming was set to take place over Memorial Day weekend, but due to scheduling conflicts the cast was unable to get together. Filming continued on May 30, with Austin Brinser, Chris Lombardo, Alex Fanelli, Dan Brusilovsky, Michael Behrenshauser, Brandon Archibald, Russell Parkinson and Ross Lovell participating. Filming then took place on May 31, but was initially delayed after very few cast members were able to attend. Ultimately, Michael Behrenshauser, Dan Brusilovsky, Alex Lombardo and Zion Figueroa all participated, with this being Alex's first day of filming. LordStarscream100 stated that despite the small cast, they accomplished a great deal of scenes. Filming continued on June 1, but even fewer cast members were part of the shoot. Dan Brusilovsky, Zion Figueroa, Michael Robinson and Ross Lovell were all present for filming. Filming then took place on June 2, with Austin Brinser, Chris Lombardo, Michael Behrenshauser, Alex Fanelli, Dan Brusilovsky and Alex Lombardo all present for filming. On June 4, LordStarscream100 confirmed that Bailey Gonzaga had been dropped from the film's cast. Though Bailey was interested in the project, scheduling conflicts have ultimately prevented him from participating.

Filming continued on June 5, with Gabe Sagherian, Austin Brinser, Chris Lombardo, Alex Fanelli, Dan Brusilovsky and Michael Behrenshauser all present for filming. That day, a record was set for the most videos filmed in one day for a LordStarscream100 project, with 572 videos being shot. The record was previously held for the first day of filming Bread's Crumbs 2, on which 456 videos were shot. The same day, it was confirmed that Dan Brusilovsky had taken over the role of an unrevealed major antagonist in the film, who was originally portrayed by Ryan Grier. Dan originally served as Ryan's body double should he be absent - however, Ryan failed to show up for many of the filming days, resulting in him becoming the body double and Dan becoming the character's official actor. Filming did not take place on June 6, due to scheduling issues and a lack of actors. Filming continued on June 7, with Gabe Sagherian, Austin Brinser, Chris Lombardo, Alex Fanelli, Dan Brusilovsky, Sean Larkin and Alex Lombardo all present for filming. Filming also took place on June 8, the last day of school.

Filming for Bread's Crumbs 4 is nearly complete, although there are several scenes left to be shot. Filming will continue for three or four days over the summer. Editing for the project is currently underway. On June 14, Scott confirmed that Dakota Markle, Jacob Lutz, Ryan Grier and Eric Gorbaty have yet to film their scenes for the project, and are expected to do so in the near future.

Trivia

  • Russell Parkinson will reprise his role as Colonel Crunch, having previously appeared in the second film two years earlier. Crunch also appeared in The Conundrum Dimension, but via archival footage. This film also marked Russell's first time filming with LordStarscream100 since February 2016.
  • The Paleman will sport a slightly different appearance in this film compared to his look in the second film. In that installment, he had long black hair, which Michael Behrenshauser kept until he got a haircut shortly before filming began in May 2017.
  • Vishnu Rammohan was originally confirmed to reprise his role as Mahatma, but was dropped from the cast shortly after filming started, as he lost interest in the project.
  • Jacob Doerr was initially rumored to be reprising his role as Justin Bartisto for the film - however, LordStarscream100 doubted this will happen, considering Jacob dropped from the cast of the second film and later the third film. On May 8, LordStarscream100 dropped Jacob from the film's rumored cast.
  • Alex Lombardo, the brother of Chris Lombardo, is set to make his acting debut as Quinn Diesel - the son of Chris' character, Vin Diesel. This will mark the second time in the series where an actor plays another character's son; it will mark the first time where both actors are related in real life.
  • Captain Jumpa and Jumpa X will not appear in the film due to Ryan Bowman's absence. David M, who appeared as Bread Nelson in the three main installments, is not expected to return for this film. This will be the first main installment in the series to not feature Captain Jumpa or Bread Nelson, who have led the protagonists' and antagonists' organizations, The Clan and the U.B.N.V.A., respectively.
  • Having been absent from the third installment, Michael Robinson, Russell Parkinson and Michael Behrenshauser will reprise their roles as Sandy Sandler, Colonel Crunch and The Paleman. Crunch previously appeared in the second film, as did The Paleman, who had a brief cameo. Sandy had a brief, almost unnoticeable cameo in the third film. He is expected to have a larger role in this installment than he did in the second or third films.
  • This is expected to be the final film in the series - an expectation made all but certain by the cast's last year of high school.
  • YouTube user "STM Studios" created a fan trailer for the film in April 2017. He followed this up with a teaser trailer and later a full trailer for a hypothetical crossover following his version of the storyline between the Bread's Crumbs Cinematic Universe and an unrelated series.
